As I had said, my birthday, my friend bought me a 4 inches Hoplias Malabaricus, but IDK where to put them in. Can they be with a 4 inches male dovii temporarily? I can put them in the pond, but I heard they're notorious jumpers, I'm afraid they might jump out and die.

Jumping out may not be the only problem the wolfish can easily eat or kill the dovii.

4 inch Mala can cause serious damage to wolf cichlid of smaller size. Just on a side note. 300 gallon and only wolf cichlid in it means by the time it reaches bigger size. This will be it's territory and nothing else will survive.

Generally speaking, what kind of wolffish is the easiest to keep with other fishes? In my country, I've only seen Malabaricus, Lacerdae, Curupira, Aimara and Erythrinus.
