I have a Striped Clown Knife and it isnt doing very good and it has red spots on him, does anyone know what this is? I moved him into a seprate tank. The fish in the normal tank are doing fine and are healthy.

if you got pics, i think it would be easier to identify the problem..

Never had any problems with knifefish that weren't real obvious (like being eaten by a crayfish).

I cant get pictures, My digi cam isnt working. If I can use my friends I'll take a pic. =( All I can say is that its color is normal but there are red blotches (like red spots, but not alot) and he wont eat anything now. uhm try and think if someone took a red marker and put these med. sized red spots on him.

It sounds like a Bacterial disease. You may want to try a product like:

HIKARI - BIFURAN +

Check out this link:

Good luck!

Red hemoraging? (sp).. which would be Scepticemia? There are all kinds of meds for it. I would go with Water changes, Aquarium Salt, and no stress ;) If he quits eating, go for the meds..
