thank you for all the info I really appreciate the help and quick replies on this matter I have the temp turned up and the man is going to go and pick up meds today from the pet store in town I read up on a few things last night too and was wondering if anyone here has tried Rid Ich with any success or if anyone has used a UV sterilizer with any success for Ich as well?

I have used rid ich+ by Kordon recently with success. BUT the fish that was infected had his own tank and was NOT scaleless and very hardy. I did not see any signs of distress and the ich went away quite quickly. I like rid ich+ but it is quite pricy for the tank volume it treats.

Your best bet is the heat and salt. I forgot the life cycle of the ich cysts but your in for a few weeks of wc's... i wouldt waste money on ich meds with loaches.
