Hi,
My weather loach is currently being very strange. He's lying in the tank, not even moving when I shift the rock and he has weird crinkles on his gills. Last week a golden weather loach in the same tank died and got left for a few days as didn't realise (I was on holiday an left fish with boyfriend) Water parameters are all fine, nitrates are up slightly for my liking - at about 20. Everything else is 0, temp is 19, they're every couple of days. New additions are two baby leopard cories. Is a 110l tank with a goldfish, 5 minnows, 5 danios, 4 cories, 2 loaches and 3 zebra snails. Any more info needed? Any ideas what could be wrong? I don't want to lose another loach :(

how's your O2? hillstream loaches, as per their name, are stream fish, lots of flow, lots of oxygen. do you have an air pump and some good current in the tank with lots of surface agitation?

These aren't hillstream - are otherwise known as dojo loaches or oriental weather fish. The tanks o2 should be ok though as I have a fluval u4 in there which has the venturi running during the day.

It could be one of the bacterial gill diseases also, (I hope not and I cant tell for sure from the picture) if all else fails treat with fish mox.

Thank you, I will cycle my hospital tank just in case, hope he's going to be ok.... Hate them getting ill :(
