i just bought 2 pictus catfish the other day and out them in my 80 gallon tank the first night they did fine and ate everything they could find. But now they move around alot slower and are breathing very fast. They still go crazy when i put food in the tank and never seem to want to stop eating. Any ideas what the problem could be or is this normal?

I also have a pictus cat. Water conditions? And water temp?

Pretty high nitrates, work on that imo. Also pictus cats are really sensitive to chemicals and medications, make sure you arn't using any thing like that etc.

Also make sure your not over feeding him because most catfish species well often over eat if you allow them to.
