Honduran red point trait?

ok so I have been watching my HRPs and have noticed my male as these little spots on the anal fin and dorsal fin. They remind me of the egg spots found on some of the African cichlids (not really but kind of)

I was wondering if these spots are typical male characteristics? Thoughts? Opinions? Input?

Note*My female does not have them.

They are also more clear and defined than my camer captures.
