Hoplias Malabaricus tank mates?

seeing as how these things grow to be about 2 feet long, I would maybe suggest a species only tank. however, if you have your mind set on having tankmates, you will need something at least as big as it. maybe a extremely large common pleco or some bigger catfish might work, but I would probably steer clear of most top swimming fish as wolfish have some of the fastest lunges I have ever seen. hope I could help!

One guy on here had a huge wolf with a jillion cardinals, the idea being they were to small to bother with

don't know if it is still working out

Did you end up getting anything? I had one in the past with a larger pleco they never bothered each other. then I added a female dovii... She was mean and actually was a sort of a bully towards him but in the end they kind of left each other alone but she was bossy.

I had a Florida gar that the wolf fish swiped at and mauled it's fine but overall they were fine. The wolfish might have been 10 in or something like that and the gar was like 14 in.

It's situational really... depends on the temperament and the size of your fish compared to the others.

What size tank? I had a heavily planted tank which of course will fish love so that might help if you're thinking to go that route
