How do I get fry into a breeding net?

My pair of convicts have been breeding in my 55 gallon community tank with 2 fire mouths and a jack Dempsey. The first batch of fry got eaten by the fire mouths, and the second batch died when I tried to use a gravel vac to move them to the breeder net. The convicts are laying a 3rd batch of eggs right now. How should I go about moving the fry to the net? Thanks

When moving small fry, I use a turkey baster.

A net works... I always use a net never had an issue

Gravel vac is another name for siphon tube

I use my homemade gravel cleaner or a 1ID hose which had serious pull and have the other end going into a bucket.

No they are not the same. Siphon hose is just a plane tube.
