I've tried just about every method, but these gobies are just uncatchable. I'm referring to these species:
Awaous banana:
Ctenogobius pseudofasciatus:
Sicydium plumieri:
Sicydium punctatum:
All of these species live in extremely fast flowing streams, and they're most abundant in rainforest type areas. I've tried to catch them with large nets, fish traps etc, but to no avail. Any tips? They're extremely fast, and very agile. They're also very slimey, so slimey that they can fit in tiny cracks. To catch them, I bought myself a small fish net, like this:
