Some of my fish are really stubborn and spoiled that they don't even learn from their tankmates that take pellets. How do you get your fish that don't eat pellet initially to finally eat them?

Never feed live. Most fish will eventually catch on and eat pellets.

this has worked for me. try it out! my fish was eating only anything that moved. he got used to goldfish feeders. So i starved him a few days and strapped on krill (orange like goldfish) to metal fishing swivel (or anything that will hold the krill) and basically jigged it. made it dart like a fish. I think this is called "fishing" but minus the hook. my fish went after it and spat it out, but after a few tries. he eventually took it. i've yet to try with pellets, but will eventually. once they taste it and realize its food, it seems they would begin to go after it as soon as it hits the surface. good luck!

All of my cichids do not even care for pellets at all. All they do is get real soft and mushie and look like crap floating around. So I may just be one of the few who cant get his fish to eat them.

here are couple ways.. currently i have gotten every thing in my collection on pellets except 1 fish (jp perch)

FOOD:
- seem easier to get then on FD krill/shrimp. so get them on that
- slowly mix Hikari Food Sticks in with krill. and gradually phase out the FD krill.shrimp

how to feed :
- i would feed every 2-3 days.
- i would throw the food at the into the tank 1 by 1. so it look some kind of insect hitting the top of the water...

Thanks for the input. My fish do eat krills and market shirimps, just not pellets. I am going to try stuffing pellets in the shrimps method, and the krills then mixing floating pellets method.

Use Nls AAA plus food. It has garlic in it and a major appetite stimulant. This is all I feed my Pair of L-114 cactus plecos.
