Wondering in regards to the following fish as examples:
Buccochromis atritaeniatus
Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus
Champsochromis caeruleus
Say they start out at an inch, have adequate space and a good diet/good water quality, how fast would they grow, and how long would it take them to reach about a foot?

I can only speak about Nimbochromis Fuscotaeniatus. I bought a male & Female Fusco about a year ago. Both were 1" inch at purchase. The male is currently 6" inches, the female is 4" inches. They were raised in a 120 long tank.
I don't know if many tank raised Fuscos ever reach a foot. The biggest one I've seen is a 9" incher, in a 150 gal. Display tank at my LFS.

I have raised and grew out the champs and in my opinion they grow fairly fast. I've grown out buccochromis rhoadesii and boccochromis heterotaenia and they were slower growing than the champsochromis. They were all raised in a 220 gallon. My champs are all 10' or more at about a 1.5 years. They were about 2.5-3" when I got them.

Sounds good,do you have any photos of your Champs? They are my favorite of all the Malawi predators.....as for speed of growth, there are quite a few factors that can affect their growth rate;water change schedule and volumn, food quality, stocking levels and so forth.

Here are a couple pics. I have 3 males in the 220g. I'm not sure if they are the same or his brothers. They are close to a foot long.
