Bamboo sharks once they hatch from the egg, won't eat for 7 days....only on the 7th or 8th day is when they eagerly take shrimp, or what ever you feed them....this has been my personal experience...

Just a quick question before I go info. - crazy on you LOL. How old is your shark? Is he/she a pup (newly hatched), or is this 4-day reference not on her age, but on how long she has been in your tank?
Your shark is approx. 7" as you said in anouther thread so it's about 1-2 months old. They will take food from day 1 but you can't feed them for at least 2 weeks or you can cause internal damage to the stomach.
As for your question they only eat twice a week until full so they don't need alot of food to begin with. They can go around a month without food.
It is not uncommon for a newly added shark to fast for a couple of weeks. The best way to entice a new shark to eat is to offer live foods such as black worms, lug worms, grass shrimp, fiddler crabs, guppies, and mollies.
It has been recorded that may people have also had great success with feeding fresh pieces of Herring to entice a shark to eat.
