How long will it take for an open 5 gallon home depot homer bucket full of tap water to completely shed all of the chlorine? I want to leave 2 of these out by the aquarium for water changes. 2 days enough?

2 days should be pleanty. If you add an airstone it will be even quicker. This assumes you dont have chloramine though which takes much longer.

Go to your lfs and pickup a bottle of prime it goes along way. And it will make your water changes so much easier. No having to keep pails of water around the house.

1 day and the chlorine should be gone.. in emergency situations Ive done it overnight with an air stone with no problems..

Most cities put chloramine in the water to prevent chlorine from evaporating.
It'll still evaporate eventually but you could be waiting awhile, and you'll never get as much out in a week as a few drops of conditioner could in a second.
