I've had discus in the past but it was just a 75 gallon with 6 discus and I loved the colorful tank and that's why I may convert my 180 to just all discus but how many could I put in my 180 if I sold my fish out of it and just had all discus beneath is a picture of my tank they would be going in just to give you an idea

I would say you could probably put 15 to 20 in there depending on your filtration.

alot depends into how many you can have in there hell if you wanted you can have 100 in there lol but more realistically i wouldnt put more than 18. general rule: 1 discus per 10 gal

Okay the tank has 2 fluval fx5s on it so it has plenty of filtration and I do two weekly water changes of 50% each time so you think 20 would work well I also just have 6 sterbai Cory catfish to clean up the bottom which I'm sure will be fine with discus right?

Thats a bit overstocked for your water change regimen imo. I would stay between 10-15.
I have a 120g I put 12 discus in and the tank looked jam packed. Looked like a sales tank at the store...packed so tight that it looked like a fish would pop out the top if you opened the lid. I ended up thinning it down to 7 and was much happier.

u can put 18 1 per 10 gal is good corys are fine some rummy nose tetras and some cardinels would look great keeps tems up 82 to 84 and two water changes a week is good the more the better

i notice this also lol they are happy in a school but a school too big and they wont color at all. once had 27 in a 125 when one of them busted and man even thoough they werent full size it was PACKED!

be careful with discus. they are not like most fish. I think 12 would be enough. I have a 120g with 8 adult wilds and they fill out the tank really nice. I think instead of stocking to the very limit, you would be better off with a school of tetras and add a few more cories.

I'm aware there not like other fish I've had them before I've just never thought of putting them in a tank as big as this I usually use this tank as a grow out for predators but may change it up I'm not sure yet
