twice a day for that size and reduce the feeding it it grows older/larger is much more sense to me , when babies it different league

i would think the bigger the more food it would consume, and twice a day like split up the daily feeding like instead of 10 pellets all at ones 5 in the morning and 5 at night type deal?

Angelo.. hi.. jus for example.. my 24" aro eats like a 120 pellets in a day.. 60 mornin and 60 in the evening.. but i have three more aros around 20" to 22"(they accept prawns and other fish fillet).. if i feed prawn of fish meat i keep it to one feeding a day.. pellets will be usually twice a day.. aros generally slow down on feeding once they reach a considerable size.. try with the pellets first.. drop ten pellets and wait for the aro to finish.. and then follow with another ten.. see how much the aro eats and thats your marker.. give some 12hrs and try the same in the evening.. come to an average.. based on that split and feed.. if you are feeding prawn or fish meat.. once a day is fine.. sometimes they might refuse to eat.. jus remove the food.. a days starvation will be ok..you could alternate between pellets and prawn every other day and not do both the same day.. all the best cheers..
