how often do convicts breed?

i have two convicts one male one female. my question is how often do they breed ?

the reason i ask is because they bred on christmas and i was woundering when will be the next time they breed?

Yup, every 2-3 weeks!!! Once they lay there eggs, it'll take roughly 3-4 days for them to hatch?! Be careful though, sometimes they will eat the first batch of young if a second batch come's along?!

You might get lucky and the first batch will be developed enough to be moved before the second batch comes along?! You hardly want to be unendated with hundreds of little convicts do you ha?? Are you going to use them as live food for another fish or something?

i had to move the tank so i had to move the eggs to a ten gallon but being stupid i also put in the parents and they ate all the eggs.

They should breed every 2 wks or so. But if you leave the fry with them it will be longer as they will tend the fry for a week or so before they become dinner. Then it will be roughly 10 days after they snack on their young. Also sometimes the 1st 3 or 4 times they spawn it may be erractic time periods between spawns.
