Hi. I thought it would be interesting to see what different feeding regimes people have.

Of course the amount and frequency you feed your fish is depended on the type of fish you keep, so it would be worth mentioning that detail also.

I have a 6ft tank with a mix of CA and SA cichlids and feed the tank once every two days with a staple pellet.
I also feed the fish some frozen food (e.g. prawns, krill, etc.) once a week.

(By the way, if a thread similar to this has already been made, apologies).

i feed all my tanks once a day with good quality pellet (Hakari) and Nutrafin max pleco logs as they don't disintegrate like all other pleco foods

I skip a day once every week or so

Every other day and on occasion very 2 days if I think their bellies are too big.

Feed my community tank three times a day. One generous pinch of veggie and blackworm flakes morning, midday, and night. At night feedings i drop a couple dozen veggie and blackworm pellets in.

My other cichlids get fed three times a day as well, just the sinking pellets. The jd and red devil will only eat 2-3 per feeding but the flowerhorn will not stop eating. He probably eats about 30 pellets s day. Twice a week they all get frozen bloodworms or live earthworms.

Not only depends on species of fish, but also their activity level, and even more important their life stage.

I feed adults once a day, and skip feeding on water change days. When I was actively breeding, fry and young juvies generally were fed 2-3 times a day due to having higher metabolic rates. 100% pellets

I used to feed every other day but I noticed slow growth on my fish so I try to feed everything day now, I usually feed a variety of pellets and once a week frozen fish and bloodworms

Really depends on certain variables.

Big cichlids 4-5 times a week. Lurker puffer 2-3 and active puffer every/ every other day.
