I’ll be honest and have very little knowledge and zero experience with datnoids but are on the top of my bucket list. I’m not subscribed to this channel but it popped up in my feed. How long does it take these dats to reach this size?

You don't see a lot of those dats in that video that has been cut out of another video. The tank is too well lit, there are no hiding places, the sand is too clean and level. I think I have seen the full video before.

That does not look to me where those dats were grown out. And certainly not where they would be happy and thrive.

It looks to me as if that tank and inhabitants (and the girl on the left) have been slung together for the sake of making a flashy video.

Having said that, those IT could be anywhere between three and ten years old.

If you are going to keep dats - which I would recommend - you need not think that that is a suitable setup.

Thank you sir. So ****, it’s possibly fake? It seemed incredible to see that size of fish. I’m in the states so Arowanas are no go but I’ve always been fascinated with datnoids.

I don't think it is fake, I would say it is staged.

The girl is standing on a stool, so she is not so big herself. And IT can get big, probably the largest of the dats.

But the colour and lighting, that is fake.

Mine was about 12-14" when it died.
It got to 12" in about 6 years after buying it at 3-4".
So yeah, those are probably 10+ years old.
