Hi just wondering how long u guys have had an angelfish live. my last marble angel fish lived 5 years and had about an 8 in diamete...rip-> zorro...mike c

I had two of similar age and size about ten years ago. one actually lost an eye in a fight and lived for years.
They can live till about 12 years old, but not many actually make it till that. My oldest lived till age 6 and at that point we were moving and I had to find a new home for them. The dumb people ended up putting in a bunch of goldfish with them, and they died soon after. Pissed me off too!
They were Zebra's of the wild strain. I think perhaps because of so much breeding with different strains trying to come up with the PERFECT looking angelfish, as well as more diverse variety, this is why they don't seem to live as long.
