I have a male and a female BN pleco in my 20 gallon long. Both are about 4" maybe a bit more, but how do i breed them? any help would be great.

Put water in their tank. That's about it. They're about as hard to breed as guppies.

Seriously, though. The males need a cave for egg care. Personally, I use breeding caves from http://www.cichlidbreeding.com/products.php?cat=9

At 4", the males are still a ways away from breeding size, in my experience. The males should be closer to 6" long before you start seeing action. Feed them well, and BNs are super, super easy to breed.

I bristenose doesnt need to be 6 inch to breed. I've had mine breed at 2.5 just feed them alot of feed and a bunch of water changes

Cave or flowerpot
Drop water temp down to 68 degrees
Feed well for a week or two
If they don't spawn ,raise temp to 78 to 80 degrees.

my bristles breed constantly, didn't do anything to get them going. There was a little hole in a rock and off they went. They're are pretty well fed, have zuccini and wafers every night with the occasional shrimp pellet, water changes once a week, nothing out of the ordinary tho.
