Hi all....
I finally got baby arapaimas...
can anyone give me any tips on how to get them to eat?
or wat might be causing them not to eat?
thanx

Its new so it may still be stressed from the move and should eat in the next couple days. Or its used to live feeders and not trained to eat prepared foods. Try shrimp?

they take time to adjust.

True as stated above. Bloodworms never failed me.

Quality feeders should b a staple for any small predatory fish until it hits 8"-12". By quality i mean conditioned and disease free. I feed my feeders good food so in turn its getting into the preds. Those pimas should b pumped full of feeders on a daily basis to ensure they grow quick :) . Zebra danios, tetras, cichlid fry, crickets can all be used until you get a feeder tank set up. Do not just go buy a bunch of goldfish and throw em in to the pima. Feed them 3-5 a day every day.

10+ on that. Im fairly new to big predatory fish. But the growth difference from feeding live feeders vs frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp. Is huge. I stuffed my peacock bass with bloodworms and brine shrimp (frozen). The growth is easily double and the feeders are smaller then his portions of frozen were.

Feed him with guppies or other live food now untill he put up some size then start to give the tilapia fillets or starve to make him eat pellets...
