Who produced the first thai silk flowerhorn?
produced how?

Im guessing its bluediamond fh x king kong parrot, and the mate's juvenile x kk parrot again, and again again...

Who have an idea?

This is my theory. I've noticed there has been a ton of Electric blue fish being produced. EBJD, Electric Blue Rams etc. Which makes me believe that the "electric blue" is a recessive gene and not created through hybridization. Simple genetics would be to line breed until the recessive trait is acquired.

I believe the first Thai Silks were made some 20+ years ago.. Like the EBJD, they had some genetic issues and were an unstable strain.

Bringing this back up. I was looking around and I think maybe Golden apple could be an ancestor to the thai silk.
heres a picture of one from I think 2003

and another one,

What I've been reading suggests that the full body metallic color might be a recessive trait, not sure if that's true.
