Hydrocynus Goliath African Tiger Fish (BLACK)? Aval?

Any one know anything about these? Are they honestly out there? Can't find any pic's or info. Been googeling over two hour's found nothing. If you have herd anything about them or know anything about them please post info-link ect... This fish would be a must have for a true Goliath keeper! :drool:
 
Nothing. Beyond Wes/Fugu saying he's heard of them being in japan, the few pictures of "what looks like" a black goliath.. Never seen them for sale, never seen an actual picture of one in a tank.

I know a guy who paid a H I G H dollar amount for 2 Juvi's that were suppos to be True Black Goliath. In the end, it looked like Vittatus to me and I think he ended up selling as Vittatus.

But I have heard of this species... cant wait to see one

From what I gather they should be a sub-species. they were listed in douglas danns book as only being cought in a certain river. and actually has a pic of a black beside a regular Goliath. Maybe I'll find that pic next. I'll start looking.
