I have no idea what species this theraps is

It was sold to me as a Paneetroplus Bulleri but I don't think that's what it is. It is 5.5 inch long, mouth to tip of tail.

There are so many Vieja hybrids in the hobby, where did you get the fish from? i think thats your only chance at identifying...

also, isn't Paneetroplus no longer in use- for years now?

It is not P bulleri.

I agree with Milingu, (if not a hybrid), looks preety close to the normal form Vieja fenestrata. (especially with the verticle bars)
