He started getting white fuzzy spots, the spots would go away and leave small red splotches and new fuzzy spots would appear. I took him out of the tank to treat with salt (2 teaspoons for 14 liters) but a lot of things broke and i put him back in the main tank .Now along with the spots he has a flap of skin hanging off and the skin underneath is pink. He is still acting normally.

I have no idea what to do. Help please.

tank 135 gallons
gravel bottom
other fish: cory cats, whistling cat, platies
i used to have a bristle nose pleco but gave him up in december, and the stingray’s skin healed but not fully.

Clean water and salt should be enough. Get that water tested. Cover any exposed heaters.

I don’t have a heater gaurd. I’ve never actually heard of that but the heater isn’t broken and it’s in the right place.
Do you know if slime gaurd is safe for stingrays?
