I think they are baby trout...

Hey I got these fish yesterday from my creek in the woods behind my house, they look like baby rainbow trout they are all about 1 inch long but would they be that small still???

They are to small to get any good pics but they have a black stripe right down the center of there body (from the head to tail) and have the rainbow coloration on there underside...

could be many things i have netted trout that small but in small streams it could be a number of different things like longnose and black nose dace, small lmb, creek chubsuckers and 1" would be about the size of a baby brook trout because of when they spawn.

What I do is copy them off of my computer into a photobucket accout and just click copy on those pics and paste them in.

i put them on picasa on google and then click and drag them in

Probably illegal to own them if they are trout. Next time, leave them in the creek. Populations of native trout in North America are in decline, so give them a chance.

I think they are just minnows now but I don't know I am going to give them time...
