I'm starting a new 75 gallon tank and I'd like to have a relatively peaceful community of sorts.

I'd like to be able to incorporate some stem plants, a cleaning crew (already have a rubber lip pleco i need to relocate to this tank) and a few different sized fish. Not necessarily looking to breed.

I'm planning on not using a heater so temp will be around 72 - 78.

My 75 has a severum, rainbow cichlid, blue gourami, 3 silver dollars, and lots of krib cichlids, and a tangerine crayfish. Also a bala shark (not proud of that, hopefully I get a bigger tank before he gets too big).
There are a few nips and the krib pairs go at it a lot, but everyone is generally very peaceful with each other.
This tank is not heated either.

1x green terror
2x keyhole cichlids
1x severum
A group of tiger barbs

You missed the requirement... peaceful community of sorts... and to incorporate some stem plants..

barbs aren't peaceful to each other... GTs are hit and miss for a community especially in a small 4 foot tank.

green terror can be different The ones I’ve had were peaceful but I’ve heard of ones that needed to be kept solo

Oops missed the stem plant part - forget the silver dollars and sev then.
Some mid size tetras and smaller cichlids would be safer there.

Thank you for the suggestions but yeah, I've kept some of those and most will uproot or mow down anything organic (I'm looking at you silver dollars!) LOL

I was thinking something like:

Rubber lip pleco - for algae on back of glass and plants cleanup

Some kind of fish to scavenge on the floor for food that hits the bottom, but gentle enough not to uproot

German rams or keyholes for a small cichlid that won't be too aggressive ( but not sure if those would do well in colder temps )

Top. Swimmers or schooling fish

Dwarf chain loaches? They are great bottom feeders, very active and playful as well as plant friendly.

I think the rams will need warmer water, not sure about keyholes.
Most likely you’ll want a Central American as it’s usually cooler there. Nanolutae or Honduran red point could work.
I would think a pleco would help with the substrate, if not a Raphael cat or a shoal of cories could work well.
Hatchetfish would be good for the very top, or any mid sized tetra would work. Mollies or swordtails are also good options.
