just wondering if a fahaka and a mbu puffer would produce offspring if they could breed? i know it would be virtually impossible to do in an aquarium, but it might be possible if they were split by a divider(very stong one;)), and maybe, just maybe some of the eggs and sperm "met".

Nope, 2 different species.

so it's scientifically impossible for 2 puffers from the tetraodon family to interbreed? hybrid's whithin other families of fish are breed all the time, does this not work with puffers, and why?(scientifically that is, not due to aquarium restrictions) guess that rules out the fahaka/pustulatus hybrid stories that get thrown around from time to time.

We do have a resident scientist/Mentor at TPF. His name is Corvus. Dr Neale Monks is also a Mentor there. You should post there for a better answer. I'm no scientist.
