I have a 2 bed apartment in which i am planning on setting up a "pond"(think swimming pool) It will hold between 500-1000 gallons of water depending on which one I get, and I am planning on putting all my goldfish from the 150 gallon aquarium in the pool.
I just wonder if I need to worry about evaporation? I have a small humidifier right now but I am not sure if that would be enough.

I would strongly recommend a lid... this will cut down humidity in the room to normalish levels. This coming from a man and his wife who spent all last night scrubbing mold of the walls and windows! In the long run a glass/acrylic lid will be cheaper than running a humidifier too!

you may also want to check with your complex make sure its alright. mine didnt have a max tank size tell i moved in now they do. but im ok with my tanks tell i move out.

I hope you meant de-humidifier :D.

Listenn to King Edward, and put a cover on it, you'll be glad you did.

Are you on the first floor?

*laughs* that's gonna be me soon, I pity the apartment that lets me in. Gonna have to go for a ground floor as I live on the 2nd floor of a house & my 2 tanks are as much as the ceiling will hold already.

Make sure the floor is re-inforced somehow if ya aren't on the 1st or basement floor, but I doubt a pond of any size is allowed in apartments. If ya manage it, post pics!!

Ya could also try having a small pond in a planter container on your balcony or roof garden(if apartment has one), seen a few ppl keep goldfish etc. in them.

300 gallons aint bad!
