Hi there, I hope everyone is well :)

I'm trying to treat my Gold Saum who has stopped eating now for about 2 weeks now and is moping around the tank. Can someone help me please?
Below is some info - any advice would be massively grateful !!

Symptoms:
  • Swimming lethargically but still able to move quickly (looks like he is struggling to turn a bit)
  • Not eating / taking food down (seen him take food in mouth but spits it back out)
  • Slightly sunken belly , no stringy white poop.
  • He still has his colour (probably from the vitamins)
My actions so far:
  • Fed a thawed prawn and few days pass with no eating.
  • 1 week passes with Gold Saum not eating. Suddenly my Chinese Algae Eater dies.
  • Gave fish Epsom Salt bath for 20 minutes with suspected constipation. + 25% water change.
  • Next Day.. another 25% water change.
  • Few days passed, still not eating... treated water with Vitazin multivitamins
  • threw in some boiled, de-shelled peas soaked in Epsom Salt
  • Next day **thinking of Chinese Algae Eater dying a few days ago** - added Interpet Anti Internal Bacteria
  • Few days pass and no improvements.. Also added Epsom Salts directly to tank
  • Yesterday morning - treated with Fluke Solve (Praziquantel) & increased water temp by 2/3 degrees f.
Other fish (dither fish & catfish) all doing fine, I do regular water changes (30% weekly) + filter clean every 4-6 weeks, Ammonia & Nitrites at 0ppm, Nitrates 40ppm (tap water Nitrates sits at 40ppm) - planted tank.
Randomly now have snails crawling on front of class now (assuming Fluke Solve is working).

I'm in the UK so limited treatments.

Sorry for the long message but hope I've provided everything! Let me know if i missed anything.

Big thanks in advance!!

I’d dose the Epsom salt to the tank 1 tbsp per 5g. Feed some metronidazole to the fish. There’s hex shield available in the US. Not sure if u have there in the uk.

It doesn't look like we have hex shield but I'm sure I can find an alternative. Thanks for the tip, I'll give this a go once the current medicine has run its course!

Hi again.. Not having much luck finding an alternative to metronidazole as its not available in the UK and my fish still hasn't improved.
Not sure if you have any alternative treatment ideas?
He's still active but with more of a sunken belly. He pooped out some green stuff which I assume is the peas I fed him so must be eating a little.
I'm a bit lost with what to do tbh ?.

Thought I would report back for future reader reference and hopefully more help!?
No improvements on my fish.. Still not eating properly.
I've resorted to feeding him a small prawn every couple of days and continue adding vitamins to the water.
Not sure if anyone has any more ideas?
It looks like he's in pain when he eats anything.
Tried Flubendazole and praziquantel as well as internal bacteria.
Thanks
