Is pond liners like roof underlayment???

I heard on one of these threads that pond liners are made of the same stuff that roofers use on houses. If so, I'd like to know what this stuff is called and if it could be used in a DIY pond? All answers welcome....

It's the same material (EPDM). Roofing membrane is thicker than ordinary pond liner (60 mil versus 45 mil), so it's stronger but also more difficult to work with in corners and bends.

Thanks man...Do they sell this stuff at lowes and home depot? And is it called something else at the store??

They do. It's sold as 'roof membrane'. There may be different materials available, so make sure it's stamped 'EPDM'.
