Hey, new to the flowerhorn and I was sold this fish(was sold to me as a FL), I've been told by a friend who keeps flower horn that he thinks it not, any information would be appreciated

No it's not. Last fish I seen like that was labeled red headed cichlid. Unsure of scientific name.
It's a veija specie for sure. Not a flowerhorn. Possibly fenestratus? I'm not the best at IDing these guys. If you post in the CA/SA I'm sure someone will have some more insight on the specie
