Is this a red ear sunfish/ bluegill hybrid?

Can anyone ID this fish? I caught three of these off of some bream beds. I was catching bluegill and red ears off of the same beds, but these 3 looked different. This one appears to have more bluegill in it. The other 2 looked to have more red ear. What do you think?

I think you're right; it looks intermediate between the two and I don't know what else it could be. You should post it on the NANFA forum, though, there are several sunfish experts over there who should be able to confirm your ID.

I've come to find out that some parts of the country refer to ALL panfish as perch. I've heard lots of people down south call bluegills perch, as well as greens.
