I would say no. This looks more like a juvinile parachromis, probably either a Jaguar or dovii. Either way it's going to grow up to be a big aggressive fish. Hopefully someone with a lil more experience with parachromis species will chime in with their info on it and be able ID it more exactly.

It's definitely not. I would agree that it's likely Parachromis of some kind.

Nope definitely Parachromis. Most likely friedrichsthalii (formerly loisellei).

I vote loisellei also. Not a dovii for sure, markings are reminiscent of a mota but it's very yellow.

It's a nice fish, if you like it keep it. If it was sold to you as a salvini and that's what you actually wanted then return it and either swap it for a salvini or get your money back.
