YankeeJack, thank you for the support! I have been wanting to breed electric blue Jacks for quite a while. I currently have an electric blue and 4 blue gene Jacks and one wild type. Of course the wild type paired with the male blue gene. So I'm pretty sure none of the fry will be electric blue. I'm still excited. Since this is their first spawn I'm hoping it will be successful and I'll be posting updates.

The only breeding I've done in the past was Peacock Cichlids and they were so beautiful!

So I know I shouldn't have let this happen. But my two ebjds spawned today. I was growing them out together in the hopes to get regular jacks to breed with. But they beat me to it20180428_211901.jpg

I know this is frowned upon, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I apologize rebekka but they won't let me post anything yet

I would let nature take its course. I would be interested to see what happens with the EBJD spawn. I don’t necessarily think it is frowned upon, it is that two EBJDs are said to not be able to produce viable fry. Everything I have ready says they will not live long, but somewhere I have read a guy claiming to have been successful a couple of times. Keep us updated.
