I have 3 Jack dempseys right now and theyre all right close to 7 inches long. What would happen to my finger if I was aggressively attacked when I put my hand in the tank. I am not saying they would attack my hand, just checking the capabilities of my fish? How would it compare to a bite from a 7 inch Jag?

You might get a small cut on your finger, maybe. I've seen some JDs with a pretty good set of teeth on them. At any rate it'll scare you more than hurt you.
It will definitely make you jump, even if you are looking out for it. Doubt they would break the skin.
