As you can see in my previous post, that new Halide setup was pretty bulky, so I modified it to fit onto my L shape bracing I had installed previously - much cleaner.

I've also removed the largish piece of mangrove root from the tank - the large piece that you can see protrude out of the water in the far corner of the shot above. Slightly rearranged it all to provide more open swimming space at the front of the tank.

Managed to snap this photograph of the male today. Will be borrowing a friends 24-70mm F2.8 this week so it will be fan-bloody-tastic for Apistogramma photos.

Regarding my plans.

Custom Drilled 6x2x2 + Sump will be ready this weekend, probably pick it up Monday. Will also be picking up my Eheim Compact+ 5000 & Two 2x39W 3' Hagen GLO T5HO setups on the same day (Wallet hurts). Stand construction hasn't begun yet as we're waiting for the tank, but fish should be in tank by next weekend (Feb20).

I'll obviously be doing a very complete worklog which will be posted here.

Also have a 3x18x18" Dwarf Setup planned and half-purchased for when I move my current 4x2 setup out and sell it. 2x39W Hagen GLO T5HO's, Hydor 200W ETH to reduce tank clutter, Eheim Pro 2228, etc.

Stocking undecided. :)

Edit:

Shot these a while back, surprised I didn't link them (Ooh I can't make this a photo thread :))

Dominant male goodness.

Haven't heard from Keith lately. I know he's sold a lot of his gear, including his 6x3, but not sure if he's completely out of the game. I know he's recently had his second (?) child which is probably the reason for it.

Purchased everything for the new tank yesterday, minus the tank and sump (Lights, pump, bulbs, eggcrate, little bit more media, media bags) which I'm picking up Saturday as they're ready. Should be running with fish within a week.
