Hi I was wondering is this tail rot or the jaridini just playing around and messed his tail? He’s the only fish in the tank.

It looks like he got it ripped by something do you have a hob filter or any other fish that would bite him

I got a hang on back
Watch if the arowana gets close to the intake of it I used to have a nice silver that would like to be next to the filter all the time cause there was less agitation to the surface of the water there and he would not notice his fins get slowly sliced in there I didn’t realize until after the fact I realized because I saw little pieces hanging off where the water gets sucked in the hang on back check the intake and see if his fins are getting clipped from the filter

i think he like to go through narrow gap, so it’s not fin rot correct? I just want to make sure it’s not fin rot.

I have had a Jardini for about three years and he randomly will have what looks like tail rot. I went through all the meds thinking it was tail rot. It just seems to come and go. He was biting his tail at one point and I got some Tiger barbs and put them in with him now he is doing better. Just keep him well fed and clean water.

So after a 1 year seems like it’s same thing never grow back. Or it just keep damaging the tail? I asked one of my coworker he say it might be fun rot or some kind of fungus or disease? Any1 know? Trying to get his tail fixed. There’s no other fish except him in the tank.
