Keep Marulioides with marulius group? and Breed Lucius in captivity?

Fiends, i have 2 questions:

1- is possible keep channa marulioides and channa marulius in the same aquarium? (3000-4000 lts) or i will have fights?

2- someone has been successful in the breeding of Channa Lucius? It 's easy? or takes long time?

Hi,

my lucius started breeding at a lenght of 20cm, itr was a group of eight fish living together with two Trichopodus pectoralis. The eggs hatched, but the parents ate the fry when the hatchlings started to swim free.
The parents did not harm the other fish

That's quite interesting , do you think them eating fry was a result of being in a tank or does this species not show the same parental care that other species display ?

it was a sign of unexpierienced parents !
When the fry hatches they hang head up ant tailfin down at the water surface in their "nest". looking like small commas as all small channa. But after a day they start to leave the surface and swim small distances around the nest.
The parents only picked out the youngsters that started to swim. Maybe the parents saw some kind of threat in this movement.

I'm keen on getting hold of Channa marulius... Was thinking of growing them in an aquarium... Any suggestions on where I could purchase eggs or even fry?
