i'm thinking about getting this species but i'm not quite sure about the diet, i read on planet catfish that they are a wood eating species, which is fine because i have a ton of wood in the tank they'd go into, but i feed the rest of the tank a fairly meaty diet. i feed the xtreme cichlid pellets and blood worms mainly, my creni in this tank are not pellet trained so i feed blood worms everytime i feed. will this cause any health issues for the panaqolus?

It could cause problems. Bloat would be possible, and if that happens its very difficult to treat.

On the other side you might be fine.

I think it's not the safest pleco for that if you are feeding that many blood worms.
Blood worms really aren't the best for even meat eating plecos. I've had some bad experiences. But maybe other experiences differ....
