Large, fully aquatic salamanders or newts?

Does anyone know of any large, fully aquatic species of salamander (aside from axolotls)? And if so, where can they be purchased? I've been trying to find a site that sells Mudpuppies or Hellbenders, with no success.

Hell benders are protected in every state where they range. you could try aqua scape online I think they sell some aquatic salamanders or newts

They only sell fire belly newts, just checked. Was looking for something a little bigger, any idea if mudpuppies are protected? Turns out hellbenders and mudpuppies are two different species.

Mud puppies are sold in quite a few states as fishing bait. There are usually a number of sellers offering them on kingsnake in late winter/early spring. Nasco also carries them:

There are sellers on ebay offering amphiumas, greater sirens, and lesser sirens.

My thoughts exactly. I like the greater siren, too. Not sure about amphiumas, though. They sorta creep me out lol

Ampbiumas are nuts. I miss my girl "Cynth". I had her in a 125 with just an aerator but heavily planted.
