There's been several threads going around on large plecos
Acanthicusadonis, Pterygoplichthyssp (all), Panaques(some),Hypostomus (there are a few... mainly wild), Isorineloricariaspinosissima,Megalancistrus(all)...I'm sure there are more.
There are hundreds. These lists probably have some crossovers but will give you an idea. All the sizes here are standard length (SL) so don't include the tail, so for total length (TL) add about a third of SL.
goodness. I wonder how hard the adonis is to come by... 3 feet of lean mean algae eating machine. Basically I'm doing a project to see if I can top the most well known max sizes for Loricariidae, however I've only done research for the ones I am currently taking care of. thanks for the ideas all!
Adonis are really really good at eating algae....I have mine in the pond, which used to have the walls completely covered in black brush algae and others....But now...its just been stripped of algae....I'm finding rocks and pots that I though disspeared , all thanks to my big guy.
