failry quickly - but it depends on food availability - I kept one for 8 years - got it at 3" and grew it to 3ft (or there abouts) in about 3 years and then stopped it (or considerably slowed it down) ..

well today i was in a lfs looking for some oddball fish
i saw 2 baby rtc 2"
so i bought 2 of them :)

so cute al ready eating 5 mins into the tank

My predatory catfish:

12" Merodontotus tigrinus
12" Brachyplatystoma juruense (flash zebra)
8" Trachycorystes trachycorystes
8" Cephalosilurus (formerly Pseudopimelodus) fowleri
7" Trachelypterus (formerly Auchenipterus) galeatus

My non-predatory catfish:

7" Synodontis decorus
6" Synodontis brichardi
3" and 4" Synodontis angelicus
5" Synodontis schoutedeni
4" Synodontis multipunctatus

I know I left something out. :(

RTCs will eat even if theyre not in water..LOL They are such eating machines.

Itchy - can you post a pic of you M.Tig please? A big Tig always makes my breathing go faster.. ;) Absolutely one of the best catfish a hobbyist can get.
