This little guy fought a bad case if ick and gave me a hard time getting him to feed.

But once he started he has eaten very well and will even grab my finger instead of bloodworms some times :)

Sorry the pictures suck he is in a grow out tank for now

He looks like he's going to have a NICE pattern when he gets bigger!!

Thanks guys, They have been on my wish list for a very long time. Best part is I got him for 30 bucks :)

Now I just need to grow him big enough to be motoro proof. This may take a while lol

Looks like a regular Juruense not a flash zebra to me because I don't see any horizontal striping in the tail. Looks like it will have a great pattern though. How big is it at the moment about 4"?

yah about 4". I had no idea there was a difference between a flash zebra and a juruense lol

I thought it was just a common name my bad :)

I agree 100% regular Juruense.....cracking specimen though!
I believe the Flash comes from Brasil and the regular Peru.

my dream cat. think they are even better than tigs. much rarer IMO.

Flash zebra usually refers to Brachyplatystoma cf juruense from the Rio Nanay. Usually deeper bodied and with the tell tale bright yellow coloration which is hard to sustain in captivity. Nonetheless nice pickup!

Learn something new every day :)

I deffinitly prefer the regular juruense to the flash.

He came in as "SHOVELNOSE CAT ZEBRA ALIANZA" to my LFS from TFD
