So I searched for recent info on them and there wasn't anything I would consider recent so here it goes. This has nothing to do with pricing. Just customer care and product handling.
Placed a order on Tuesday night (late.) Was really worried about shipping young tropical fish during what can be a wacky time for weather in Indianapolis ie, my kids and I went to the playground Monday and it was 60 and sunny with a light breeze , now it's Wednesday and we have two inches of snow on the ground and more to come . I gave them a call because I was trying to order heat packs for shipping and couldn't find them. I was only on hold a couple minutes and got a really nice lady who told me that they will include heat packs in shipping if I live where it is cold this time of year and that there is a comment box during check out and I should add it in the notes for extra measure. Easy enough. Thanks n have a good day! Placed my order and it said it would arrive Thursday.
Thursday:
Get the kids up and off to school and check my e-mail. UPS tracking says my fish will arrive by 10:30 local time. K.
9:45 and I'm nervous. 30+ mph winds with sleet and snow added to the mix . I step outside to have a "fresh air" break and the UPS truck is coming down the street. Sweet! Perfect timing. Besides the driver catching the box on the door of the truck the box looks like it has fared well on it's trip from Cali. No dents, dings, gouges, or tares! I have the driver step in so I can open the box and make sure that at least something survived so I can accept the delivery. He wasn't too happy about that. Hahaha! Can't leave without a signature! The fish look fine and I scribble and send him on his way.
So... The package was cardboard, styro "cooler" box, bags of fish, heater pack between bags, packing pills laid in to fill spaces between fish bags in styro box. Nice! Everything inside was warm and active and exactly what I had ordered! Great job folks.
