Looking for Discus Breeders or wholesale in San Diego.

I have a discus set-up, and I'm looking to add 3 more to the pack. I've been to pretty much every store in san diego, and they all have around the same quality and breeds of discus.

Today, while phoning one of the LFS's as to the next shipment of discus, and when they expect it, the girl on the phone let slip that they get their fish from a man who comes by the store in a truck which they pick their specimens from. She stated that if the quality wasn't great, they simply call another guy and he drives his over.

I need to find this man with his truck of discus! I live here in San Diego, headquarters of "Baileys Wholesale Tropical Fish", but they won't sell to anyone in the county. There has gotta be someone in San Diego that is breeding these beautiful fish, and any and all info you guys might give will be GREATLY appreciated.

There are no discus dealers down there that I have personally dealt with. My discus come from Mac's discus in WA, G&H in Oregon, and great lakes discus.

Lack of response is not due to people not wanting to help you. There just aren't many discus breeders or wholesalers here in San Diego. I've seen this same question posted on discus boards; Simplydiscus and Discusasahobby. There weren't any viable answers. If you like Stendkers, there's an authorized Stendker dealer in Orange County. Can't remember where exactly. You're right, discuses kept here local LFS's are dismal, that is why I had to resort to shipping.
