I have a brs 200 gpd unit but it cannot keep with my usage so i'm looking for something a bit larger but most of the units i can find are either house units which are not suitable for freshwater blackwater aquariums or missing important stages like di.

Unfortunately i'm in a negative situation right now (using more water out of my reservior than i'm putting in) so kind of looking for a quick solution.

Thanks:

[I am currently limiting water changes or doing smaller water changes to prevent running out of ro water :(]

Go on FB marketplace and buy any RODI units you can find then set them all up separately. Don't screw around with combining stages or plumbing, just find something local you can pick up and inspect.

You should probably figure out exactly how much water you need daily before you jump into a light-commercial unit as those are going to be $1k minimum for just 400gpd.

I live in a region where local RODI units of any sizes are not going to be available - i don't even know how ot find such a listing on RB. I know how much i need today but if i add more blackwater aquariums i'll need more tomorrow. Right now i should be using 1308 gallons per week so in theory a 200 gpd shoudl just cover it but i'm falling behind.

You can always a DI stage to any unit. For larger units, I found a local supplier of RO DI units and he could build any size for any application. See if you can find a local RODI shop

I live in the south east and we have nothing - this isn't like california or the nw where this sort of stuff is common. Heck we only have one large non chain- fish store in 400 miles and they have a large commercial unit.

I used to live in places more enlighten. Adding a di stage is an option i guess as i know how to plug in tubing though it is one more thing to go wrong.

I thought there was another reply to this thread with a pointer to another company that had a solution for 700 gpd unit.
