Hello, i recently bought some fish from don conkel, i also bought a sajica from the person who ordered them from conkel, the sajica had little white marks but i put it down to bite marks, after about 2weeks the sajica died, it had white spots on its body which looked like fungus, but i didnt think it was. i removed the sajica when i saw this into a hospital tank were he died.
Now the first tank he was in 2 fish- a female grammode(conkel fish) and my own firemouth have these white spots, i wanted to know whether you think it is Lymphocystis Disease? heres some pics:
Grammode from conkel-see the dots on the dorsal fin

My firemouth, dots on the body:

sorry for the poor pics. all the fish with or without the dot/spot are fine, acting normal and eating well.
i have added salt, bumped the temp and doing w/c every 2 days.

so is this Lymphocystis Disease?, if it is what corse of treatment or prevention on spreading do you recommend i do.
thanks in advance dave

There really is no treatment as its a viral disease

Thanks beblondie, i have read it but will read over it again.

its wierd, one of the fish has lost a spot(firemouth) but does have a red lump on the opposite side.

iam going to remove tomorrow because iam taking a risk leaving them in till i decide what it is.

all the fish are eating fine and swimming well. there infected parts arnt as swollen as the ones in the link but they most likely would show the worse examples.

I got in on an order of Argentea from Conkel and mine had it as did some of the others. The guy that ordered them took a wet rag and wiped it off of his so I did the same to mine. It hasn't came back and I hope it doesn't. Fins look normal now.

yeah i have herd this before, he wiped his finger across the spot and it smudged then he treated it with something to stop secondary infections.
