i have a pair of magnum 350's that i run on my 180 and i have noticed that one of them has really slowed down. the magnet has been beaten up from grains of sand getting into the canister, and i have no doubt that is part of the problem. But i dont know about the motor on thee filters. Has anyone had one go bad ever? im wondering if i have one that is slowly dying, or if it is just the impellor magnet being smaller that its supposed to be

probably just the impeller, or goop in the lines. I've gotten pretty thick biofilm in the small black tube that runs inside.

i did swap out a motor from an old mag 220 that i had laying around, and i havent noticed much change. i think its the impeller now. I have checked the tubes, which are clear vinyl hose. i cant see anything blocking them so i think im safe there

check the pickup tubes for obstructions and the impeller for the blade to magnet mounting. if it gets loose it will not produce proper flow rates.
