This is the biggest kok and very good quality for this size of a baby flowerhorn that pets art has. The first thing I do is buy him/her since the kok is incredible, but I seen larger one but never at petsmart or petco.

It's living with a another male flowerhorn about same size, but this one seems bigger so i think it's about 2-3 inches. Sometime I can see the black markings on the dorsal fin but sometimes I don't. My male flowerhorn doesn't fight with this one, because the previous one was a flowerhorn and same size and I can tell the gender because of it developing kok and no stripe but this one it doesn't fight, so I don't know the gender. Please help!

Male. Looks stressed...probably from the other flowerhorn with it. Give him his own space and watch his kok pop.

Yeah I know, that why the kok is so good or big for his size but I seen bigger one at his size. His kok was bigger when he was in the bag and the fish tank with three others flowerhorn in the same tank at petsmart.

But after a day of putting it in the tank, the kok seems to be smaller but his color is still showing. but he is still shy and it been 3 days. while the other male is very confidence, it took the other male 1 week for it to stop hiding and come out at the top to the tank or swim around.

Question: SO HOW LONG DO YOU THINK IT WILL BE USED TO THE TANK LIKE CONFIDENCE AND START EATING? i think when that happen, both of them will start fighting, but dont worry i got a tank divider ready.

My male took around a month to get some confidence and not hide all the time. If you feel he's the best one either get a different aquarium for your other one or get a divider. In time he will eat, get his color, and grow his kok. Just make sure water parameters are good

i put the anyone away for now in a small container, and he's alone, took all the 2 plants out, more space to him less space to hide and he swim around now but only swim around in the corner and sometimes follow my hand up to top for food.
